While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Cage Warriors Featherweight Fight: Max Lally vs Alexis Tsarmantidis
Card Start Time: Saturday (4/26), 11:30am EST (UFC Fight Pass)
I’ve had exceptionally good luck with Greek underdogs in Cage Warriors for the last few events. Konstantinos Ntelis cashed for us big at Cage Warriors 183 and Alexandros Moumtzis came through on Cage Warriors 187. However, this is not just a system play on Greek underdogs, I love the style of Tsarmantidis.
Tsarmantidis packs some huge power in his right hand and isn’t afraid to chase after it. Also, when he begins to land, he’s excellent at keeping his opponent on the hook. To make matters even better, the little bit I’ve seen of his ground game seems like he’s equally as punishing and does a good job keeping position.
The stylistic matchup of Lally should help those attributes play up. Lally is skilled, but can be a bit over patient. He also throws a lot of low kicks and is available for the counter. I imagine something from Tsarmantidis will land big on him and we’ll hit yet another dog here.
