Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Start Time – 7:30 PM EST

Things went according to script for the NBA Eastern Conference’s top team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in Game 1 of their first-round series against the Miami Heat, winning by 21 points on their home court. There’s a reason the Cavaliers went 34-7 at Rocket Arena during the regular season.

Cleveland has now beaten Miami in three straight games, with two of them being by 20+ points. The Cavs cover the spread again in Game 2.

Best Bet: Cleveland -11.5 (-115)

Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets

Start Time – 9:30 PM EST

Unlike the Cavaliers, things did not go according to plan for the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round series against the Golden State Warriors, as the visitors won 95-85. The worry that the Rockets would have trouble generating enough offense came to pass.

However, Houston is one of the league’s best home teams this season, and is deep and talented. I think they can bounce back in Game 2. Let’s take a flyer on Houston on the spread.
