Edmonton Oilers vs Los Angeles Kings
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
The Los Angeles Kings showed why they were the best home team in the NHL this season, eking out a 6-5 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 of their first-round Western Conference series. But the home team didn’t make it easy for themselves, or their home fans, by blowing a 4-0 lead, then a 5-3 lead with less than three minutes left in the game. But a win’s a win.
The Kings seem to have the Oilers’ number this season, beating them three straight times and four of their five meetings this season. Plus, you can’t bet against a team so dominant at home, especially at the prices being offered at the books. So we’re going back to the well and playing Los Angeles on the moneyline for my best bet for Wednesday. Hopefully, it’s less of a sweat this time around, though.
