No UFC, no problem, as the “regional” MMA scene (aka the non-UFC scene) is alive and well this week, with lots of big-time events and opportunities to win some money. One such event goes down on Friday afternoon/evening. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: PFL First Round 3, we’re off to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida for the third week of the opening round of the 2025 PFL season. Let’s go!

2025 PFL First Round: Middleweights & Lightweights
Main Card Start Time: 7:00 PM EST (ESPN/ESPN+)
This week in the PFL, the 185 and 155-pound men kick off their season-long tournament, with the eventual winner earning a $500,000 payday. Last year’s winner (when the purse was a cool $1 million), Gadzhi Rabadanov, is back this year to try to pull off the repeat.
Former UFC veteran Marc Diakiese is the first obstacle for the Russian, and I think he’ll clear this hurdle with ease. The Brit doesn’t have the firepower to survive with Rabadanov, and the Russian will be the superior man on the feet and the mat.
