Now that college basketball is over and a few weeks of baseball play is in the books, it’s time to add MLB action into my daily best-bet plays. Let’s kick it off with a winning play for tomorrow. For my best bet for Wednesday, April 9th: MLB Predictions, we’re off to Atlanta’s Truist Park for some National League East action. Get me some peanuts and cracker jack!
Best Bet For Wednesday (April 9th): MLB Predictions
Philadelphia Phillies vs Atlanta Braves
Start Time: 7:15 PM EST
We’ve got a battle between the top team in the NL East, the 7-2 (as of this writing) Philadelphia Phillies, and the basement dwellers of the division, the 1-8 Atlanta Braves. Yet we’re getting the visitors for plus money on the moneyline.
While the Braves have been unlucky this season, it doesn’t explain away all of their problems – the math only predicts their record should be 3-6. And the Phillies have been one of the best teams in the majors, three runs better than an average opponent at a neutral site.
Plus, Philadelphia’s starter tomorrow, Taijuan Walker, spun a six-inning shutout in his only appearance this season, while Atlanta counters with Grant Walker and his 7.20 ERA.
Give me the Phillies as a live dog on the moneyline as my best bet for Wednesday. Once I get more data and trust my numbers more, I’ll start making run-line plays for bigger bucks.
