We’re down to the final 16 (not as catchy as Sweet Sixteen) in the NCAA Tournament, and this has not been the year for Cinderellas. Arkansas is the only outlier, and they’re still ranked 36th by KenPom – hardly a plucky underdog. But that means we get to see the best face the best the rest of the way, including tomorrow. To the West, we go first, for a matchup between #1 and #4 – the Florida Gators and the Maryland Terrapins. And while top-seeded Florida very likely will prevail in this game, I like it to be closer than the books have it.
After crunching my top-secret, highly predictive numbers, I have the line for this game as Florida -4, so the Terrapins on the spread is the first half of my parlay.
Arizona Wildcats vs Duke Blue Devils
Start Time: 9:39 PM EST
We get a 1 vs 4 matchup in the East Region as well, with the top-seeded Duke Blue Devils taking on the #4 Arizona Wildcats. And, like in the West Region, while I think Duke will win, I don’t think they’ll cover.
I have this game as Duke -7.5. That makes the Wildcats on the spread the final piece of my winning parlay for Thursday.
