Best Bet For Wednesday (March 26th): College Basketball Predictions
UAB Blazers vs UC Irvine Anteaters
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
The UC Irvine Anteaters came second in the Big West Conference regular season, then lost in the championship game, which meant no NCAA Tournament for them. But the team they lost to, UC San Diego, is no longer playing this season after losing to Michigan in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament, and the Anteaters are still alive, so there’s that.
And I like UC Irvine to stay alive for at least another game. They are a better team than their opponent tomorrow night, the UAB Blazers, plus they’ve got the home-court advantage in their favor. The Anteaters are a very formidable 12-2 at home in the Bren Events Center this season, while UAB is only 7-5 on the road.
However, the spread is only a point and a half off from my projection, so I’m being a coward and taking UC Irvine on the moneyline as my best bet.
