After a typical UFC Fight Night at the UFC Apex (middleweight main event!), the UFC ups its game this weekend for UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Brady (aka UFC London). This is a stacked fight card, with a couple of former UFC champs in the top two fights and top British talent spread throughout the fight card. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC London, I’ve got a play on a guy that is neither a former UFC champion nor a British talent.

My play comes from our co-main event, pitting former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz against up-and-coming New Zealand kickboxer Carlos Ulberg. And the top prospect, Ulberg, is my pick.
Blachowicz is 42 years old now, hasn’t fought in almost two years, and hasn’t won a fight since May 2022. Since dropping his UFC debut four years ago, Ulberg has beaten an increasing level of competition with each fight. The New Zealander is not only seven years younger than his Polish counterpart, but he’s also a much better striker with more power.
