Nashville Predators vs Chicago Blackhawks
Start Time: 8:30 PM EST
The two worst teams in the NHL’s Central Division – the second-worst Nashville Predators and the basement-dwelling Chicago Blackhawks – hook up tomorrow night in Chicago’s United Center in what should be a titillating battle of suckiness. While the Predators are the better team in the standings and have beaten the Hawks in both their meetings this season (3-2 in both games), they shouldn’t be as big of a favorite as they are tomorrow night.
So I’m going with the home team, the Blackhawks. The Predators are the second-worst road team this season, with the only team with a worse road record than Nashville’s 6-17-4 mark being these very same Blackhawks. But Chicago is ok at home, and when you crunch all the advanced stats and add in the home-ice advantage, the Blackhawks are actually favored to win this game tomorrow night.
So let’s roll the dice and go with Chicago pulling out a win in front of their home crowd.
