Vasean Allete Lower Than 10.5 Points
TCU visits Houston tonight. The Cougars are the best scoring defense in the nation and only allow 54.6 points per game. Good luck to any Horned Frogs looking to score in this match up.
TCU guard Vasean Allete averages 10.9 points per game this year. On the road, that dips to 10.3 points. That’s not terrible, but Allete isn’t a very shooter from beyond the arc, and Houston is really good at keeping guys from scoring two-point shots. The Cougars only allow opponents to shoot 33.7% from inside the arc.
On the road, against a tough defense, and not a great shooter to being with. Allete should struggle and go lower than 10.5 points against Houston. Press the lower button in on Allete’s points total in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for January 6th.
LJ Cryer Lower Than 3.5 3-Pointers Made
While TCU may not be able to compete on the offensive end of the floor, they should manage to keep Houston from getting whatever they want on defense.
TCU allows opponents to average 65.7 points per game. That’s 41st in the nation. The Horned Frogs are also eighth in the nation in three-point shooting percentage against.
Houston’s LJ Cryer averages 3.1 three-pointers made at home. He’s gone lower than 3.5 made three-pointers in seven out of 13 games. He also faced TCU twice last year, and was held under 3.5 made three-pointers in both games.
It’s a little scary betting against Cryer in Houston, but a conference game against an opponent that can defend the perimeter means he’s unlikely to get the looks he needs to go higher than 3.5 Look to fade Cryer in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for tonight.
Devin Royal Lower Than 20.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists
Ohio State travels to Minnesota for a match up at The Barn. Most folks may not know this, but the rumor is that The Barn can be a tough place to play.
Minnesota is 34th in the nation in points allowed to opponents, and they play at a remarkably slow pace. The Golden Gophers are also really good at limiting points off two-point shots. Opponents only shoot 47.1% in the paint against Minnesota. That’s 61st in the nation.
Add up the road spot, defense, and pace, and this should be a tough night for Ohio State forward Devin Royal. In four games on the road this year, Royal is averaging 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game. Given the pace and the building, he may struggle to even go that high.
This is a great spot to fade Devin Royals 20.5 PRA total in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for January 6th.
