Boston Celtics vs Houston Rockets

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

The defending champion Boston Celtics played – and won – in Minneapolis on Thursday, so tomorrow will be the second night of a road back-to-back for them. And Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis sat out tonight’s, so you’d have to expect them to be questionable for Friday’s game.

I’d probably like the Houston Rockets on the spread even if Boston was at full strength. The Rockets are one of the league’s best teams and are a sparkling 12-5 at home in the Toyota Center. Houston -2.5 is my spread for this game.

Washington Wizards vs New Orleans Pelicans

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

Oh boy is this one going to be a stinker. The two worst teams in the NBA tangle tomorrow night in New Orleans, and while I’m not interested in watching this game, I’m still making a play on it. And the play is on the Washington Wizards, who are 1-12 on the road.

No, I’m not necessarily predicting the Wizards are going to score their second road win of this season tomorrow, although it wouldn’t be a great shock if they did. But I am predicting they’ll cover the spread for us – New Orleans should only be a three-point favorite.
