MMA Regional Pick of the Week: One Fight Night 27
ONE Atomweight Fight: Chihiro Sawada vs Bo Meng
Card Start Time: Friday (1/10), 8:00pm EST (Amazon Prime)
Bo Meng has been hanging around One FC for some time now. She’s had some surprising results in there – some positive and some not so positive. However, one thing is clear in all of those fights, and that’s the fact that she occasionally struggles with the ground game. She’s been submitted in two of her last three losses and out-wrestled by Indian prospect Ritu Phogat in the other.
That wrestling issue is going to rear it’s ugly head at One Fight Night 27. Chihiro Zawada is a high level wrestler withn an amateur background. More importantly, the fundementals of her game hold up late in the fight thanks to her size and gas tank. With that clear stylistic advantage, I’m liking Zawada in this one to grapple her way to a victory.
