Lock Selection: Atlanta Falcons

If you still have the Atlanta Falcons available in Survivor, then you NEED to select them this week. The Falcons have looked downright awful offensively over the past five weeks. After four straight losses, Kirk Cousins and offense managed just nine points against the Raiders defense.

Promptly, Cousins was officially benched in favor of Michael Penix for this week against New York. There is no doubt this Falcons team is loaded with young talent on the offensive side of the ball that Penix should be able to work with.

Atlanta couldn’t have scripted a better scenario for Penix to walk into than for this struggling offense to take on the league’s worst team in the Giants. We have faded New York quite a bit in these picks, and we’ll continue this trend here.

There is no question the G-Men have their eyes set on that illustrious number-one overall pick. This injury-riddled Giants roster simply does not come close to stacking up against this Falcons squad.

Bonus Selections:

With just three weeks of the NFL season remaining, there tends not to be the best choices for Survivor picks. With that said, I’ll give you some tips on strategies you may need to take a chance on.

Baltimore Ravens, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings,  Las Angeles Rams

Obviously, if you have any of these teams available, I would take them. My confidence level goes from left to right in how they are listed.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts’ season has been disappointing. Anthony Richardson failed to make the leap the Colts’ organization hoped for. Although I am a long-term believer in AR, I must acknowledge that he has regressed as a passer this year. Also, the run defense has been a major issue for Indy throughout the season.

That said, the Colts are a home favorite against divisional rival Tennessee. The Titans seem to be over the Will Levis experiment, as Mason Rudolph will suit up as the starter in this one. The Colts are 2-0 on the season as home favorites. They get it done here.

Las Vegas Raiders

This is a matchup of two horrendous teams fighting for top-five picks. In the Raiders case, they are vying for the first overall pick. I also think you really shouldn’t select a two-win team in Survivor unless absolutely necessary, but this point spread says this game is a true 50/50.

Say what you want about Vegas, but their defense fights harder than your typical 2-12 squad. Patrick Graham is a proven defensive coordinator who should be able to scheme up some pressures to confuse Mac Jones. The question is, can the Vegas offense score 17-20 points against this awful Jags defense? Who knows, but it might be worth the gamble if you’re out of options.
