The Arizona Cardinals blew any real hope of making the playoffs by dropping their last three games—they aren’t technically eliminated, but the odds are slimmer than slim. The good news is that tomorrow they are facing another team on a three-game losing skid who is even worse than the Cardinals are this season – the New England Patriots – owners of a 3-10 record (but 2-5 on the road, so that’s something sort of).
Based on advanced stats, the Patriots would be the worst team in the league if it weren’t for the even worse Carolina Panthers. As mentioned, they’ve lost three straight and four of their last five games. Using the aforementioned advanced stats and folding in the Cardinals’ home-field advantage, I’ve come up with the line of Arizona -13.5 for tomorrow afternoon. The value is on the home side here.
