San Francisco 49ers at Buffalo Bills Preview and Predictions

This Sunday Night Football showdown is one all eyes will be on. The reigning NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers head to Orchard Park, New York. They’ll take on the Buffalo Bills who popped the champagne for the 1972 Miami Dolphins last week handing the last undefeated team, the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss. The teams will square off Sunday night on NBC, kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET. Let’s take a look at this 49ers-Bills preview and predictions.

San Francisco can’t feel good about how the Super Bowl hangover has hit the team. They’ve suffered through a massive amount of injuries this season. Quarterback Brock Purdy didn’t play last week and remains questionable for Sunday night. Kyle Shanahan believes the quarterback will play.

Buffalo is riding high off their upset of the Kansas City Chiefs last week, their sixth win in as many games. Before the Chiefs win on Friday, the Bills sat just one game behind them for the #1 seed in the AFC, a win Sunday night would keep them just a game behind.

George Kittle Over 46.5 Receiving Yards (-117)

Some of the 49ers stars have been inconsistent in their offensive production thus far this season. That hasn’t been the case for George Kittle. In the nine games Kittle has played he’s crossed 40 yards receiving in all of them. In his last six games, he’s passed the 46.5 total that’s set for him this week. Kittle remains a stable source of offense for this team and should exceed this number again in Week 13.

San Francisco 49ers +6.5 (-118)

I expect this to be a close-fought tough game right down to the end. The 49ers have been down on their luck, but they are not out of it. They sit just one game behind the Seattle Seahawks for the division lead in the NFC West and are still alive in the playoff hunt.

Buffalo is coming off their Super Bowl on the season taking down the Chiefs. By no means will they lay down and roll over, but they are going to get everything the 49ers have in this one. It may not be enough to win, but I believe they’ll cover this one in the end by keeping it close.
