Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – September 30
Francisco Lindor – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases
Since returning from his injury, Lindor has picked right up where he left off. He has four hits and seven total bases in the three games back. That comes out to 2.33 total bases a game, which should already be enough incentive to get in on this projection. However, I like it even more considering it’s a big game for the Mets and he had a home run in their most recent ‘must win’ game.
Orlando Arcia – Higher than 0.5 Total Bases
Arcia’s September numbers may not exactly inspire confidence. He is hitting just .179 in the final month of the season. However, he has really picked it up as of late. He has a hit in four of his last five games and eight of his last ten. The low overall numbers has pushed Underdog to lower the projection to just half of a base, which I think might be too low.
Tylor Megill – Lower than 5.5 Hits Allowed
This line seems comically high for a number of reasons. Firstly, the Braves are hitting quite bad as of late. Even winning five of their last six games, 23 runs in that span (less than 3.0 per game). It’s not like they’re loading up the scoreboard with hits either. Additionally, Megill hasn’t allowed six hits in a game since June 3rd. With the magnitude of the game, you have to imagine he’ll have a short leash. As a result, I can’t envision a situation where he gets to six here.
