Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – April 22
Paolo Banchero – Higher than 22.5 Points
The Orlando Magic’s glaring weakness is their offense, as outside of Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, no one on the roster can score. And that was certainly the case in Game 1 versus the Cleveland Cavaliers, as Orlando only put 83 points on the board.
Banchero, however, held his end up and scored 24 points, up from his season average of 22.6 ppg. Orlando leans heavily on the sophomore to score, so I see him getting us at least 23 points once again in Game 2.
Joel Embiid – Higher than 29.5 Points
Joel Embiid had a very poor Game 1 against the New York Knicks, going 8-22 from the field. However, he still managed to score 29 points by going 11-12 from the charity stripe.
If Embiid gets 29 points when he plays poorly, and he rarely plays poorly, I think he’ll easily get us 30 points or more tomorrow in Game 2. Injured or not, Embiid produces, and he’ll do so when Philadelphia needs him the most.
Nikola Jokic – Higher than 28.5 Points
Another guy who we can count on, especially in the playoffs, is Nikola Jokic. I had him higher than 1.5 steals in Game 1 versus the Los Angeles Lakers, and he came through with two steals. Now let’s go with higher than 28.5 points for Game 2.
Jokic scored 32 against the Lakers in Game 1 and topped 28.5 points in two of the three games he faced LeBron and company during the regular season. ‘The Joker’ will get the job done for us tomorrow.
