Jazz Chisholm Higher than 7.5 Fantasy Points
We have already discussed Jazz’s struggles this year. He is notoriously a streaky hitter who strikes out a lot, but I really love his matchup on Thursday against Jameson Taillon. Taillon will be making his first start of the season after missing the first few weeks with a back injury.
I hope you haven’t forgotten Taillon was one of the league’s worst pitches at the beginning of 2023. Last year, he finished with a 4.84 ERA. The advanced metrics also did not like Taillon’s performance in 2023, as he was towards the bottom of the league in pitching run value, fastball run value, expected ERA, expected batting average, barrel percentage, and whiff percentage.
All this bodes well for the slugger Chisholm, who is looking to break out in a big way!
Michael Conforto Higher than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Michael Conforto is having a solid start to his 2024 campaign. The 31-year-old is hitting .292 with 4 home runs, 24 RBIs, and an OPS of .897. On Thursday, he faces off against Ryne Nelson, someone whom Conforto has handled in past matchups. Conforto is 3-7 off Nelson with a home run. He has also been swinging a hot bat lately, having hit safely in his last four games.
I’m expecting him to keep it going against a division rival in this one.
