Apparently, it wasn’t enough for the Florida Panthers to eliminate the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round of last year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs – the Panthers appear intent on pulling off the repeat this season. The defending Stanley Cup champions lead the series 2-1 heading into Game 4 on their home ice tomorrow night. No revenge for you, Lightning.
The home team has yet to win a home game in this series, which is odd, but I think that ends tomorrow night. The Lightning were a below-average team on the road during the regular season, while Florida was a top-10 home team in the league. Plus, the advanced stats have the Panthers as a massive favorite to win this series (70.5%), and one of the top favorites to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup in June (11.7%).
