The Vegas Golden Knights vs the Minnesota Wild series is only one of two that haven’t gone the way of the chalk these playoffs (Florida vs Tampa Bay being the other). The Wild stole a game on the Golden Knights’ home ice in Game 2, then held serve at home at the Xcel Energy Center in Game 3.
However, the Wild are an anomaly, a team that is better on the road than at home. And the Golden Knights are one of the NHL’s best away teams this season, posting a 21-13-7 away record. Plus, Vegas was one of the strongest overall teams heading into the playoffs, while the Wild was one of the weakest, with only the Montreal Canadiens having a lower advanced stats ranking.
I think the Vegas Golden Knights steal a road game tomorrow afternoon and knot up this series as they head home for Game 5.
