NBA Predictions & Preview For Tuesday, April 22nd
Memphis Grizzlies vs Oklahoma City Thunder
Start Time – 7:30 PM EST
Ja Morant promises that the Memphis Grizzlies won’t play another game as poorly as they did in Game 1. So that means instead of losing by 51 points to the Oklahoma City Thunder, they’ll only lose by 41? 31?
If I were handicapping this game in the regular season using my data, I’d have it as Oklahoma City -11, fairly close to the spread we’re getting at the books. But I have faith the Thunder can cover once again in Game 2.
Best Bet: Oklahoma City -14 (-110)
Minnesota Timberwolves vs Los Angeles Lakers
Start Time – 10:00 PM EST
I am still working on the premise that the Los Angeles Lakers are overrated, as the advanced stats hint at. It worked for me in Game 1, as the Minnesota Timberwolves blasted the Lakers on their home court by 22 points.
What’s worse for Los Angeles, Anthony Edwards didn’t really play that great of a game on Saturday, and the Lakers wasted a dominant Luka Doncic performance. Minnesota on the spread it is once again for Game 2.
Best Bet: Minnesota +5.5 (-104)
Overall Record: 167-136 (55%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $1,647.24
Return on Investment: 5%
