The UFC returns this weekend and they’re on the road. They head to Kansas City for a banger of a welterweight main event. The UFC Kansas City card is loaded up with incredible fights with some great spots to look for some high-value MMA bets, picks, and predictions.

Prelim Pick of the Week: UFC Kansas City
UFC Featherweight Fight: Timmy Cuamba vs Roberto Romero
Start Time: Saturday 6:00pm EST (ESPN+)
One of my favorite spots on the whole card comes to us from the prelims. In the second bout of the night, we get a pair of fighters both looking for their first victories in the cage. However, they have looked quite different in their UFC tenures.
Roberto Romero has only had one kick of the can. That came on just days notice against a tough out in David Onama. He came out in tough in that fight, and many would argue he won the first round. His output and toughness made the fight super exciting. He scored a knockdown in the fight and defended the majority of Onama’s takedowns.
Cuamba is an ideal dance partner for him. His output has not been particularly good in the UFC and he doesn’t seem like much of a threat on the feet. He’s hitting just 27% of the takedowns he attempts, which should mean he’ll have to duke it out on the feet. If that’s the case, Romero should overwhelm him.
