2025 NFL Mock Draft Consensus Rankings

2.5 Quarterbacks in the 1st Round
Over: -475
Under: +330

The headliner for every draft is the Quarterback position. Right now, the books expect to see at least three quarterbacks selected in the first round. Cam Ward is a lock to be the #1 overall pick, but it gets very interesting after that. Shedeur Sanders could go as early as #2 overall to the Cleveland Browns or as late as #21 overall to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Right now, Shedeur Sanders is -200 to go in the top 10. Jaxson Dart is +250 to go in the top 10. Dart is -450 to go in the first round. We will see three, do not overthink it.  Jalen Milroe is +130 to go in the first round, I am not buying that.

6.5 Offensive Lineman in the 1st Round
Over: +100
Under: -130

As of now, three offensive linemen do not have first-round odds. Will Campbell, Armand Membou, and Kelvin Banks Jr. all seem to be locks to be first-round picks. They could all hear their names called in the top-15 picks. Four other offensive linemen are favored to go into the first round: Grey Zabel (-2000), Josh Simmons (-700), Tyler Booker (-600), and Josh Conerly (-180). This is not a deep class for tackles, teams will have to reach for value. I will take the time to go over the 6.5 offensive linemen in Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft.

8.5 Edge Rushers/Defensive Linemen drafted in the 1st Round
Over: -210
Under: +160

The Defensive Lineman position is the deepest position group in the 2025 NFL Draft class. The edge rushers are not as deep, but that could increase the value of the top guys. As of now, Abdul Carter, Mason Graham, and Jalon Carter do not have first-round odds. They appear to be locks for the first round. Three Edge Rushers are favored to go in the first round: Mike Green (-1400), Donovan Ezeiruaku (-500), and James Pearce Jr. (-130).

Three Defensive linemen are favored to be drafted in the first round: Derrick Harmon (-1600), Walter Nolen (-800), and Kenneth Grant (-400).  If you add all of that up, that is 9 Edge Rushers and Defensive Linemen that are expected to go in the first round.  Give me the under; this defensive line group is too deep. When you can find value in the 2nd and 3rd rounds,  teams can wait. I don’t think we get to 9 defensive linemen and edge rushers.

2.5 Wide Receivers in the 1st Round
Over: -250
Under: +185

The last time we had fewer than two Wide Receivers drafted in the first round was 2019 (N’Keal Harry and Marquise Brown). Travis Hunter and Matthew Golden currently do not have odds listed. Emeka Egbuka also has favorable odds (-200). We should see all three of them drafted. The other names to watch are Luther Burden III (+180) and Jayden Higgins (+650). Last year’s class was so strong, this was looks horrible. It’s not horrible, but it’s not great. I still think we see at least three taken in the first round. The cost of free-agent Wide Receivers and every team needs at least three.

4.5 Cornerbacks in the 1st Round
Over: +215
Under: -295

Travis Hunter leads this Cornerback class, but will Travis Hunter be announced as a Cornerback? As of now, Travis Hunter and Will Johnson are the only cornerbacks without odds to be drafted in the first round. There are currently only two other corners with favorable odds to get into the first round: Jadhae Barron (-1600) and Maxwell Hairston (-280). This is not a deep Cornerback class, and several players could sneak into the back end of the first round.

Trey Amos (+145) has the next best odds. Amos has been a riser since the NFL combine, where he had 13 visits. Two corners are coming off injuries that very well could end up going in the first round. Shavon Revel Jr. (+300) and Benjamin Morrison (+900) are names to watch. Azareye’h Thomas (+800) is the other person on this list. Those odds are long, and I think we get one of those 4 guys in there. Give me the over on 4.5 Cornerbacks in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
