Detroit Pistons vs New York Knicks

Start Time – 6:00 PM EST

The Detroit Pistons are back in the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2019 – now they actually need to win a game. Motown’s finest have lost 14 straight playoff games (the last time they won a postseason game was 2008).

Starting the playoffs off on the road in New York City against the Knicks is no easy task, but the Pistons were the ninth-best road team in the NBA this season, so that’s a good start. And after crunching the numbers, I’m going to take them on the spread. My line is New York -4.5.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Los Angeles Lakers

Start Time – 8:30 PM EST

I figured there would be a playable line for this game, as the Los Angeles Lakers continue to be overrated at the books (at least in my eyes and according to my calculations). So we’re going with the road dogs, the Minnesota Timberwolves, tomorrow.

Not to actually win the game, though, but they can do that if they want to. The Wolves were a very strong road team this season, and according to my super secret calculations, they should be a half-point favorite tomorrow night.
