That heartbreaking golfer would be Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg, who had a poor second round, which just so happened to be when I was in on him to have a good round. Go figure. But Aberg’s 73 in Round 2 seems to be an aberration, as it’s been sandwiched between scores of 68 and 69, leaving him in a tie for fourth place, six strokes back of McIlory.
Six strokes is too much ground for the Swede to make up on Sunday, in my opinion, so bets on Aberg as the tournament winner are off the board. But he’s proven to be a very good golfer in his two stints at Augusta, so I expect him to finish strong. My best bet for Sunday is Ludvig Aberg to finish in the top five.
