MMA Same Game Parlay of the Week: UFC Vegas 105
UFC Vegas 105 Middleweight Fight: Robert Valentin vs Torrez Finney
Start Time: 6:00pm EST (ESPN+)
This middleweight fight puts together a pair of fighters who prefer to grapple. Despite the submission skills of Valentin, I expect Torrez Finney to look to take it to the ground and quick. The main reason is the six inches of height he’ll be giving up to the Swiss fighter.
If he does come with a plan to shoot takedowns, I expect him to rack them up. Valentin being an experienced grappler means there’s a decent chance he works back to his feet a few times before being ragdolled back to the mat. The lines are a little steep, but I like the price of the 3+ takedown mark for Finney.
Additionally, while I know the submission threat is real, I think Finney should avoid the bulk of them. We just saw Valentin struggle with a wrester in Ryan Loder, so the moneyline on Finney will boost up this same-game parlay.
