College Basketball Picks March 28
Ole Miss +3.5 vs. Michigan State
Chris Beard has proven he’s one of the best coaches in the country this season, taking his third different school into the Sweet Sixteen. Tom Izzo, on the other hand, is another coach who deserves tremendous respect for the leaps and bounds his team has made this season. In this game, I favor the Rebels’ offense, featuring Sean Pedulla and Jaemyn Brakefield.
The Spartans’ defense definitely presents problems, but Ole Miss has dealt with elite defenses all season long. I think a lot of people will be falling into the Izzo trap here, disregarding the job Beard has done at a non-basketball school.
