College Basketball Picks March 27
Duke -9.5 v. Arizona
Simply put, the Blue Devils were the best team during the regular season and have put together the most dominant performances in the tournament thus far. Duke went a preposterous 21-10 against the spread in the regular season and is 2-0 ATS thus far in the tournament. KenPom ranks the Blue Devils as the number-one offense in the nation and the number-four defense.
Many are looking back to Caleb Love’s success against Duke during his time with UNC, as well as the Duke-Arizona matchup last season, which saw the Wildcats win in Durham. This season, the two teams played, and Duke won quite handily.
The biggest difference between these two teams is their tempos. Duke plays relatively slow, whereas Arizona likes to run and gun. The problem with this is that the Blue Devils are the most efficient offense in the country, and they have shown that they can play a fast-paced game at times this season.
Arizona, even playing at a pace that favors them, will have an uphill battle dealing with this Duke team. I’m rolling with the Blue Devils here!
