A couple of underachieving teams meet up tomorrow in Newark, as the Vancouver Canucks come to town to meet the New Jersey Devils. Both the Devils and the Canucks are on pace to register 10 fewer points than their over/under was set at heading into this season, and both have dropped two straight games.
I think the Devils right the ship tomorrow and get the W on their Prudential Center home ice. They smoked Vancouver 6-0 in the teams’ only other meeting this season and having dropped their past two at home, things are bound to revert to the mean.
After diving into the advanced stats and doing my calculations, I have the Devils as almost a one-goal favorite tomorrow, so I’m making New Jersey on the moneyline my best bet for Monday.
