Bryant Bulldogs vs Michigan State Spartans
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
And that game would be the #15 Bryant Bulldogs taking on the #2 seed, the Michigan State Spartans (which you could have guessed since it says that right above these words). Eleven 15 seeds have upset #2’s in the history of the NCAA Tournament, so I’m saying that the Bulldogs have a chance, right? Wrong.
So wrong that I think the 16.5 points that the Spartans are laying for this game aren’t enough. KenPom has Michigan State as the ninth-best team in the nation, while Bryant comes in at 148th. Plus the Bulldogs are one of the rare NCAA Tournament teams that are a negative on the spread based on advanced stats (they are about two points worse than average competition).
Michigan State -24 is my line, so the Spartans are my play.
