Xavier Musketeers VS Texas Longhorns
Start Time: 9:10 PM EST
This is a defacto home game for the Xavier Musketeers, as they are only an hour and a bit away from Dayton. But how many points that is worth to them is hard to say, as it isn’t going to be a true home-court advantage for them. Outside of that, this is a very close matchup on paper, with the Musketeers coming in at #43, and their opponent, the Texas Longhorns, at #44. And the other advanced stats I use to handicap games have Texas one slot ahead of Xavier. It’s a real toss-up.
Texas has a slightly better offense, with Xavier being slightly better on defense. Texas has a much stronger strength of schedule, but they’ve only gone 2-2 over their last four, with Xavier having won seven of eight.
After crunching all the numbers, I have the line as Texas -0.5, so the Longhorns plus the points is my best bet for tomorrow.
