NORTH CAROLINA TAR HEELS VS SAN DIEGO STATE AZTECS
Start Time: 9:10 PM EST
Number 11 seeds the North Carolina Tar Heels and the San Diego State Aztecs are two of the four teams tasked with winning their way into the Big Dance by competing tomorrow in Dayton. And since I’m predicting the Tar Heels to make it at least into the second round, they’re my pick to win tomorrow night.
The mighty KenPom has North Carolina ranked three slots ahead of San Diego State, so it’s a tight contest, at least on paper. The other advanced stats I use to handicap games have the Heels further ahead of the Aztecs, which makes me more comfortable picking them here.
However, unfortunately the spread at the books is within a point of the one I’ve come up with, so it’s unplayable. We’ll have to settle on North Carolina on the moneyline as our best bet for tomorrow.
