College Basketball Picks March 15

Maryland -4.5 vs. Michigan

I have been a huge proponent of this Maryland squad all season. Not only do they have a slew of guards who shoot from the outside, but they also have the size and length necessary to defend at a high level. Derik Queen has been one of my favorite players all year. The freshman’s dynamic athletic ability and relentless motor are infectious.

This is a bad matchup for the Wolverines. Maryland BIG here!

St. John’s -6.5 vs. Creighton

It has been the Johnnies all year in the Big East, and it will be fitting for them to win the conference tournament. Rick Pitino has his team playing the best defense in the country. I still worry about this team down the stretch in March Madness, but there is no doubt they are built for the Big Eat tourney at MSG.

Creighton is simply an average team.  They don’t do anything particularly special. St. John’s swarms them here.
