The UFC is finally back in the new year. UFC Vegas 101 takes place in the Apex and they’ve put together a surprisingly strong list of fights. The card is loaded up with incredible fights with some great spots to look for some high-value MMA bets, picks, and predictions.

MMA Prelim Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 101
UFC Flyweight Fight: Jose Johnson vs Felipe Bunes
Start Time: Saturday 4:00pm EST (ESPN+)
Of all the spots on the prelims this weekend, Jose Johnson may just be the highest value spot.
Some of this is due to all of the physical gifts that Johnson has. He’ll be five inches taller and have a reach advantage as well. that’ll mean that Bunes will be forced to work into the inside to try to overcome that. However, there is just one problem with that gameplan.
Johnson seems to be the much better and stronger grappler. A natural bantamweight, Johnson is physically a lot stronger than most flyweights. Additionally, he comes from a wrestling background and has shown that he isn’t afraid to tangle on the mats.
With the ability to win in both realms, and with a number this low, Johnson is definitely the best value on the card.
