Chicago Bulls vs Charlotte Hornets

Start Time – 7:00 PM EST

The Charlotte Hornets have lost their last seven games – not exactly a ringing endorsement for my pick here. But my numbers are my numbers, and my numbers say this game should be a pick ’em.

The Chicago Bulls aren’t exactly a world-beating team, either. Based on advanced stats, they would be expected to beat the Hornets by about three points at a neutral site. Add in the Hornets home court advantage, and the home team plus the points is the value play.

Dallas Mavericks vs Sacramento Kings

Start Time – 10:00 PM EST

The big storylines heading into the Dallas Mavericks vs the Sacramento Kings game are Luka Doncic and Mike Brown’s absences. Can the Dallas Mavericks continue to play well (7-3 this season) with Luka out, and can Sacramento finally start catching some luck and enjoy the dead coach bounce tomorrow?

I think Dallas can cover here for us. New coach Doug Christie didn’t motivate the Kings to a win in his first game, and while he may get one tomorrow, the Mavs should keep it close. Based on their season-long play, Dallas should be favored by two points in this spot.
