The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t that good of a football team. Despite holding an NFL-best 14-1 record, based on advanced stats the Chiefs are only the eighth-best team in the NFL, behind even the Tampa Bay Buccanneers. This level of play from a team would normally net them a 10-5 record, so KC has had lady luck on its side (or they know how to win, says the Chiefs’ fans).
I’m counting on the defending champs regressing back to the mean on Christmas Day in Pittsburgh. Maybe they’ll find a way to win like they have all season save for one game, but they won’t cover the spread. My calculations have the proper line for this game as Pittsburgh -1.5, so my Christmas Day NFL best bet is the Steelers plus the points.
