Mondays are usually reserved for a football best bet, but the lines for tomorrow’s Monday Night Football game and the various college bowl games aren’t playable in my eyes. So I’m turning to the collegiate hardwood instead. For my best bet for Monday, December 23rd: College Basketball Predictions, we’re headed to Thompson–Boling Arena at Food City Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for what is lined up to be a squash match.

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders vs Tennessee Volunteers
Start Time – 7:00 PM EST
The Tennessee Volunteers remain undefeated at 11-0 and should remain the top-ranked team in the nation for a third straight week when the polls drop tomorrow. And the visiting Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders won’t be able to do anything to change that tomorrow night in Knoxville.
Now I hear you – a 25-point spread is pretty wide for a best bet. But the Volunteers have already beaten six teams by 25 or more this season, including their last game when they shellacked Western Carolina by 48 points. And the Blue Raiders have not played a tough schedule thus far this season, having faced no one as good as the Volunteers (which isn’t hard considering they are the best team in the country, but still).
Let’s hope Tennessee pours it on tomorrow to make sure they send a message that they are the best team in the land.
