We’re coming down the home stretch in the NFL season, with three weeks of games left before the playoffs kick-off. This is the time of year when you need to pay attention to which teams have something left to play for, which teams don’t, and which teams might take it easy because they have a playoff berth locked up. For my best bet for Sunday, December 22nd: NFL Predictions, we’re headed to Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the visitors are still fighting for their playoff lives.

Statistically, at least, the 7-7 Arizona Cardinals still have a chance of making the playoffs. It’s only about an 8% chance, but a chance nonetheless. The same can not be said about the 3-11 Carolina Panthers.
So you have to expect the Cardinals to keep their feet on the gas tomorrow in Charlotte and not let the Panthers spoil their playoff dream. Arizona took care of the mediocre New England Patriots last week to keep their hopes alive – there’s no reason they won’t do the same tomorrow to another mediocre team (mediocre is probably too kind a term, but it’s the holiday season).
I have this game handicapped as Arizona -13.5, so the value is on the visitors on the spread.
