I keep missing on my daily parlays by the smallest of margins – a half a point here, a couple of points there. I guess at least I appear to be on the right track. And I plan on nailing my pick tomorrow. For my SGPN Parlay for Wednesday (December 18th): College Basketball Parlay, I’ve cooked up a Same Game Parlay for what should be a squash match going down on the campus of the University of Houston.

Toledo Rockets vs Houston Cougars

The Houston Cougars have dropped 11 spots in the national polls from their preseason rank of #4, but as I mentioned in my best bet article, the advanced stats show that they are a stronger team than their ranking and perhaps their win-loss record suggests. And they shouldn’t have any issues dispatching the visiting Toledo Rockets tomorrow night.
But a 28-point spread?! No problem – Houston has scored plenty of blowouts this season, and Toledo has been on the receiving end of a couple already as well.
Along with Houston on the spread, I’m parlaying the under 142.5 points for the game total. The Cougars have a lockdown defense, allowing the third least points in the nation this season, so Toledo isn’t going to contribute much to the game total. And in all of Houston’s blowout wins this season, the game has finished under 142.5 points.
