For the most part, you’ve got to tip your hat to the NBA for creating the NBA Cup. Two years in – other than the ghastly courts – it’s been nothing but a positive for the league and its fans. We have the finals tomorrow night in Las Vegas. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Tuesday, December 17th.
NBA Predictions & Preview for Tuesday, December 17th
Milwaukee Bucks vs Oklahoma City Thunder
Start Time – 8:30 PM EST
The best team in the Western Conference – and the whole league for that matter – the Oklahoma City Thunder will face the Eastern Conference’s sixth-best team, the Milwaukee Bucks. And the East is way weaker than the West this season. We’ve got ourselves a mismatch.
Yet we’re getting a really favorable spread on the Thunder. This game should be Oklahoma City -10.5, so there’s plenty of value on their side. Yes, Milwaukee has been playing better and has won three straight, but OKC is a juggernaut, winners of five straight and nine of their last 10.
OKC has a better offense and defense than Milwaukee and better depth, despite their key injuries. And – most importantly – the Thunder employ Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The MVP frontrunner has been carrying the team throughout the NBA Cup (and the regular season, for that matter) – look for him to outduel Giannis Antetokounmpo tomorrow night.
Best Bets: Oklahoma City -4.5 (-120)
Overall Record: 50-31 (62%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $1475.88
Return on Investment: 18%
