The UFC may have the audacity to take a brief hiatus over the holiday season, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any MMA to watch and gamble on. The Polish promotion KSW – one of Europe’s top promotions – runs an event this Friday in Paris with their lightweight championship on the line in the main event, plus two former UFC fighters fighting on the undercard. Friday, Dec 20th – Start Time: 1:00 pm EST (KSW TV)
The odds for the top five fights at KSW 101 get higher the further up the card yo go, so I’m going to go with the fifth fight from the top for my best bet for this event. That would be a middleweight fight between France’s Laid Zerhouni and Belgium’s Alain Van De Merckt.
And the Belgian – Van De Merckt is my pick to win this fight. ‘Top Boy’ is 8-0 as a pro, with four knockouts and four submissions, which speaks to his well-rounded skill set. Plus, he was highly enough thought of that the UFC had him lined up to fight on Dana White’s Contender Series before he withdrew and signed with KSW.
