Thank you, Navy! The Midshipmen got back on the winning track in the annual Army-Navy Game on Saturday, not only covering the spread (and winning) but also pushing the total to the over. That added up to a big +240 parlay win for me. Another winning parlay is incoming. The Arizona Cardinals’ playoff chances have dipped into single digits after dropping their last three games. But you have to assume (hope?) that they can take care of the crummy New England Patriots at home whether properly motivated or not. After doing some number crunching, I’ve handicapped this game as Arizona -13.5, so the first half of the parlay is the home team on the spread.
The second half is under 46.5 points for this game’s total. The Patriots only score 17 points per game, the second-lowest amount in the NFL this season. Their average game ends at 41 points, while Arizona’s goes a little higher on average: 44. It’s cutting it close, but that’s still enough wiggle room to hit the under for us.
Let’s root for a 1-0 Cardinals victory tomorrow! It could happen!
