Wednesday is setting up to be a pretty quiet day in the sports world, with no football on the schedule and only a couple of NBA and NHL games, respectively. I figure it’s about time we hit the ice again for a best bet. For my best bet for Wednesday, December 11th: NHL Predictions, we’re headed to the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.

Anaheim Ducks vs Ottawa Senators
Start Time – 7:30 PM EST
The Anaheim Ducks visiting the Ottawa Senators isn’t the most compelling of matchups – Anaheim is in the basement of the Pacific Division, while Ottawa is fifth out of eight teams in the Atlantic Division. And I don’t see any value on Ottawa as a -245 favorite on the moneyline. Instead, I’m going with the total for this game.
Anaheim can’t score – they are 31st out of 32 teams in scoring, averaging only 2.5 goals per game this season. They also have solid defense and goaltending, only allowing three goals to find the back of their net. With Ottawa being middle of the pack both in goals for and goals allowed, I don’t think this game is getting over the six-goal mark tomorrow night in Canada’s capital city. And, even better, we’re getting plus money on this play.
