F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Odds and Best Bets

The Formula One season comes to a close this weekend in Abu Dhabi. The teams will take on the 3.281-mile Yas Marina Circuit. Located on Yas Island near Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This circuit has been part of the F1 calendar since 2021. Let’s jump in and set up the finale weekend with a look at the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix odds and best bets.

Max Verstappen wrapped up the drivers championship a few weeks ago in Las Vegas but that didn’t stop him from grabbing the top spot on the podium last week in Qatar. The constructors title is still up for grabs at Abu Dhabi, McLaren holds a 21-point advantage heading into the final race. Ferrari hopes to overcome that gap and steal the championship, it’ll take a heroic effort from the boys in red and they’ll probably need some help in the form of a bad weekend from their papaya-wearing counterparts.

21-year-old Jack Doohan is set to make his Formula One debut for Alpine, as they released Esteban Ocon a race early. Many other drivers will be making their final appearances for their current teams before transitioning to new teams for the 2025 World Championships. Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, and maybe even Sergio Perez are just a few of the names on that list.

Pierre Gasly Top 6 Finish (+750)

This one is a bit of a longer shot, but I like it for good reason. Gasly has either finished or started in the top six over the last three Grand Prix. In Sao Palou Gasly found himself on the podium in a rain-soaked treacherous race. The next race at Las Vegas, he showed some serious Alpine speed snagging the third starting spot on the grid. Unfortunately later in the race while battling for a point position, a puff of smoke would end his day after hitting the rev limiter.

Gasly followed up last week at Qatar with another strong run to a fifth-place finish after showing speed throughout the weekend. With Ocon gone and the team just teaching Doohan the basics, the rest of the focus will be on Gasly having a strong day, and at these odds, why not?

Liam Lawson Points Finish (+330)

There are a lot of rumors swirling at Red Bull about a potential Sergio Perez replacement next year. Liam Lawson’s name is one that’s been tossed out there for that ride. What better way to show the parent team you could be their man then by taking the VCARB team to one final points finish before the year is up. Lawson has already scored a points finish in two of the five Grand Prix he’s started in 2024.

Max Verstappen to Win (+225)

This is a simple pick for me. The four-time champion who has already clinched the 2024 drivers title has won two of the last three Grand Prix. Sure, Brazil was a bit of a fluke with the rain disaster. But there’s no questioning he was the best car last week in Qatar. You couldn’t hardly find him at -225 to start the season let alone +225.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has been run four times at Yas Marina Circuit. Max Verstappen is the only winner in its history. I think he’ll keep that up by doing so again this weekend.
