The second game of Thanksgiving day will kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET on Thursday on CBS. It might be good to enjoy an extra bite or two of Turkey and grab an extra slice of pie before you sit down for this classic Cooper Rush vs Tommy DeVito duel. The New York Giants head down to Jerry World to take on the Dallas Cowboys in an NFC East battle of backups. Let’s jump in and take a look at this Giants-Cowboys preview and predictions.
The Daniel Jones era ended after Week 11 with the team cutting their 160-million dollar man. Tommy DeVito started the Giants Week 12 game blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. DeVito was 21/31 for 189 yards on the day and was sacked four times. That loss brought the Giants record to just 2-9 on the year. DeVito is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, he should be good to go for Thursday’s game. In the case he isn’t, Drew Lock will be the Giants’ starter, which changes nothing in my opinion on the outlook of this game.
Dallas picked up their first win in six games last week in a thriller in Washington. They almost blew the game giving up a late Hail Mary touchdown from Jayden Daniels, but lucked out on the Commanders missing the extra point before returning the onside kick for a touchdown. Their backup Cooper Rush, playing in place of the injured Dak Prescott delivered a strong performance at quarterback.

New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys Preview and Predictions
Wan’Dale Robinson Over 32.5 Receiving Yards (-117)
It’s a bit of a surprise Robinson’s receiving yards are set so low this week. Last week in Tommy DeVito’s first start of the season after Daniel Jones’s benching and subsequent cutting from the roster. Robinson caught all five targets DeVito sent his way racking up 47 yards through the air. The game prior, Wan’Dale again caught five targets, this time for 52 yards.
The second-year player out of the University of Kentucky has continued to make a name for himself in this Giants offense whether it’s Daniel Jones, Tyrod Taylor, or Tommy Cutlets throwing the ball. Robinson averages 40.1 yards per game and seven times in 2024 he has passed the 32.5-yard mark. He’s also gone over the total in 10 of the New York Giants’ last 16 games.
New York Giants +4 (-115)
Both of these teams are at the bottom right now. Neither’s season has gone as they’d hoped and both are on to backup quarterbacks to end out the year. Both are also extremely bad against the spread at 3-8 ATS. I wouldn’t spend your life savings betting on either of these teams, but you certainly can’t trust the Dallas Cowboys, Mike McCarthy, and Jerry Jones as four-point favorites. This is also an afternoon game, so there’s no telling how badly the Dallas sun might throw them off. Give me Tommy Cutlets and a somewhat competent coach in Brian Dabol.
