The 1972 Miami Dolphins popped the champagne on Sunday after the Chiefs suffered their first loss on the season at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. Now they will head to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers who are coming off their bye week. This is a tough scheduling spot for the Chiefs. Will the Panthers be able to keep this game competitive or are the Chiefs going to take some frustration out on the Panthers? Here are the Chiefs at Panthers Preview and Predictions.
The Carolina Panthers are coming off their bye week and getting help back on the offensive side. First, the Panthers are getting Adam Thielen at the receiving position. How much will he play? We shall see. Additionally, Jonathan Brooks will make his season debut against one of the best rush defenses. Welcome to the NFL Jonathan!
On the other side, the Chiefs did open the practice window for Isaiah Pacheco but was quickly ruled out for this matchup against the Panthers. In addition, the Chiefs do play on Black Friday against the Raiders at home. I am sure Mahomes has this game circled after all the antics the Raiders did after their victory against the Chiefs last season. And of course, let’s not forget about the puppet shenanigans in the training camp the Raiders portraying Kermit The Frog as Patrick Mahomes.

Best Bets
The question in this game becomes whether or not the Chiefs show the entire playbook. Or do they run it up against the Panthers in this game and get right before their game on Friday? The Chiefs have not fared well under Patrick Mahomes as a double-digit favorite. In fact, when the Chiefs are a double-digit favorite, the Chiefs are 4-0 SU but 0-3-1 ATS. Now the question becomes do the Panthers have enough offense to keep up with the scoring?
This game feels as if the backdoor is going to be wide open late in the fourth quarter. Sometimes ugly bets win and this week could be a week where the Panthers can at least keep this game competitive. Coming off the bye week the Panthers should have worked on the offense and made improvements. I’ll hold my nose and dive into the deep end.

Kareem Hunt Over 18.5 Rush Attempts
If this game gets out of hand for the Panthers, I would expect the Chiefs to run the football. This could also be the last week for Kareem Hunt to get the bulk of the carries before Pacheco returns for the Chiefs. Furthermore, teams are averaging 28 rush attempts per game against the Panthers. Since there is not much depth for the Chiefs in the backfield I expect Hunt to exceed 18.5 rush attempts.
