The New York Jets have been one of the most underachieving teams in the NFL season this season. Aaron Rodgers is showing his age and they are coming off a good old-fashioned beating at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals. Meanwhile, the big news of the week is Anthony Richardson returning under center for the Colts. Richardson should be remaining the starter for the season barring any type of injury. Indianapolis Colts comes into this game with several question marks on the status of key players. Mainly, DeForest Buckner’s status is unspecified and several key depth pieces for the offensive line are questionable. The good news, Michael Pittman Jr. will be a full-go in this game. Meanwhile, Davante Adams is questionable for the game dealing with a wrist and an illness. Additionally, Solomon Thomas is questionable as he is dealing with a knee injury.
As I mentioned above, the Jets have underachieved this season and their season is practically over unless they can run the table. Sitting with a 3-7 record the Jets are well on their way to missing the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Colts have been in a quarterback carousel but the news came down earlier this week that Anthony Richardson is back under center for the Colts.

The question in this game becomes what’s the motivation for the Jets? Coming back home after getting picked apart by the Arizona Cardinals in what was a “dream-crushing” loss. The Colts have played five road games this season and are 1-4 SU however 3-2 ATS. I am not sure what the motivation is for the Jets and could be a flat spot.
Anthony Richardson has plenty to prove for the rest of the season and should be motivated to play well for the remainder of the season. The one phase of the game the Colts should be able to exploit is the running game. Over the last two weeks, the Jets have allowed 127.5 rushing yards per game. The key in this game will be Richardson limiting the turnovers and staying ahead of the sticks. I believe the Colts can keep it competitive.

Breece Hall has been inconsistent this season when it comes to the running game for the Jets. And it may be not totally his fault cause this team has been atrocious and underachieving, to say the least. However, teams have been willing to run against the Colts this season. In fact, teams are averaging 27.4 rush attempts per game! I think this is a game where we see Hall get involved in the offense and exceed this projection.
