Tampa Buccaneers at Kansas City Chiefs Preview and Predictions

Tampa Buccaneers at Kansas City Chiefs Preview and PredictionsA rematch of Super Bowl LV takes place on Monday Night Football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are the only undefeated team left in the NFL possessing a record of 7-0. The Buccaneers are dealing with injuries to their top two wide receivers as Chris Godwin’s season is over and Mike Evans continues to be out. Can the Buccaneers find a way to upset the Chiefs and ruin their perfect season? Below are my Buccaneers at Chiefs Preview and Predictions.

This season, the Chiefs look like a completely different team. And yet still undefeated? This is due to the fact of how well the defense is playing for the Chiefs. Mahomes and the offense have underperformed this season and more have been due to the injuries to the skill positions. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers try to fight through injuries and Baker Mayfield has been slinging the football all over the field.

In addition, the Buccaneers have questionable tags on running back Bucky Irving, wide receiver Jalen McMillian, and defensively Antonie Winfield Jr. and Tykee Smith. The Buccaneers will have to find a way to slow down Mahomes and the offense and find consistent play on offense if they want to cover the spread let alone win the game outright!

Best Bets

As I mentioned above, the Buccaneers are decimated by injuries being without their top two wide receivers. Let’s not forget that the Chiefs are also thin at the wide receiver position. Yes, the Chiefs traded for DeAndre Hopkins last week to bolster the wide receiving room. However, since the 2018 season when the Chiefs are more than a seven-point favorite, they are 49-6 SU (89.1%) however just 26-27-1 ATS (49.1%).

Furthermore, if the game falls on Monday Night Football, the Chiefs are 3-1 SU, 1-3 ATS, and 3-1 to the Under. If the Buccaneers want to keep this game close it’ll have to start on the defensive side of the ball. I’ll take the Buccaneers here with the points!

Cade Otton Over 48.5 Receiving Yards

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers come down their top two wide receivers Baker Mayfield and the offense has to find different players to set up. However, the one consistent player has been tight end Cade Otton. Over the last two weeks, Otton has been heavily involved in the Buccaneers’ offense. In fact, Otton has a total of 20 targets over the last two games and has a combined 181 receiving yards. Lastly, the Chiefs come into this game allowing the most receiving yards to the tight end position.
