Thanks to the NFL’s Thursday Night Football game (more specifically the New York Jets), I’m back on the winning track with my 55 straight days of football best bets (although my college play for Friday doesn’t look so good as of this writing). For my best bet for Saturday, November 2nd: College Football Predictions, we’re headed to Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama for an American Athletic Conference clash.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs UAB Blazers
Start Time – 2:30 PM EST
It’s not the greatest of American Athletic Conference matchups, as the home team UAB Blazers are in the basement of the conference with a 0-4 AAC record, while the visiting Tulsa Golden Hurricane aren’t much better, coming in with a 1-3 record in the conference. And I’m going with the visitors plus the points tomorrow as my best bet.
As I normally try to make the case, this is an SGPN college football team ride, so that’s all the research you really need to do. However, I’ll continue anyhow.
UAB has played a strong schedule, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that they have lost six straight games and have only beaten a non-major team all season (in their season opener, at home). Football Reference’s Simple Rating System thinks UAB should be favored by two to three points after you consider their home-field advantage. I’ll gladly take the visitors plus the points.
