Las Vegas Raiders at Baltimore Ravens Preview and Predictions

The 0-1 Las Vegas Raiders head to Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium to face the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens also enter the game 0-1 after losing to the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs last Thursday night. The Raiders at Ravens will take place on Sunday, September 15th at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS. Let’s take a look at the Raiders Ravens preview and predictions.

The Raiders were able to move the ball against the Los Angeles Chargers last week. Converting that movement into points didn’t come easy for Antonio Pierce’s team though. Despite Gardner Minshew’s 257 yards passing, the team only managed 10 points in the 22-10 loss. Now they’ll take on a stout Ravens defense that is hungry for revenge after facing Patrick Mahomes last week.

Those Ravens were a toe on the line away from a chance to beat the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs last Thursday night. They got that nice mini-bye week with the three extra days to recover from Week 1. Their running game looked stout between Derek Henry, Lamar Jackson, and Justice Hill.

Las Vegas Raiders at Baltimore Ravens Preview and Predictions

Derrick Henry Over 72.5 Rushing Yards (-120)

Derrick Henry looked like the King Yeti that we’ve always seen before early in last week’s game. But the Ravens abandoned Henry and the running back rush game as they tried to match the Chiefs’ potent offense blow for blow. That turned into Lamar Jackson rushing for 122 yards.

This week, the Ravens don’t have such a potent offense to keep up with. They are big favorites over the Raiders and should be able to run the ball right down their throats with some ease from Derrick Henry. They’ll turn to him early and often to get going, and then later in the game to burn time off the clock, look for King Henry to have a strong day in the ground.

Baltimore Ravens -7.5 (-112)

As mentioned above, this game should come fairly easy for the Ravens. They are one of the best teams in the NFL, and they just took the Chiefs within inches of defeat. The Raiders seem like a team with an identity crisis, talking about playing “the Raider way” and then punting on fourth and one on the opponent’s 43-yard line. John Harbaugh’s team will be raring to go off long rest and a loss. Ravens roll.
